This is a transcript of the second of 3 Speeches which Alistair McConnachie gave to the "Stand Up for Open Borders" (aka "Stand Up to Racism - Scotland" (SUTR-Scotland) group when they concluded their march at the top of Newmarket Street, Falkirk (above), on Saturday 6th December 2025. The Speech emphasises the culpability of our political class in the assaults and murders perpetrated by fraudulent "asylum seekers"; and it proposes the simple solution to stop the endless flow of such people into the UK. A short video excerpt is below.
Ladies and Gentlemen, my name is Alistair McConnachie of campaign group and think tank, A Force For Good.
On the 27th October, Wayne Broadhurst was brutally murdered by a quote/unquote "refugee" in Uxbridge, West London. At the same time, he stabbed another two people, including a 14-year-old boy. Mr Broadhurst's funeral was last week, Wednesday 3rd December.
We are saying that all of our politicians who support mass immigration and endless so-called "asylum seeking" are culpable, are directly culpable, in this heinous crime
According to the BBC report: "The Home Office confirmed the suspect entered the UK in a lorry in November 2020, was granted asylum and leave to remain in 2022".
In other words, a person who entered the UK in an illegal manner was able to claim "asylum" and consequently go on to kill a British citizen!
We say that all the politicians, the NGOs, and the "Stand Up for Open Borders" group across the way; all those like them who support fraudulent "asylum seeking" are complicit in this murder!
Again, the responsibility for this murder – as with all such murders and crimes related to violent so-called "asylum seekers", and so-called "refugees" – rests squarely on the shoulders of the SNP, the Green, the Labour, the Lib Dem, and Conservative politicians who advocate to maintain the present "open door asylum" system, including and especially the permissive embrace of rampant illegality – such as sneaking into the country via a lorry.
These politicians are complicit and culpable. They are involved and they are to blame.
And the people across the way are complicit and culpable. They are involved and they are to blame, but they hide their complicity behind fancy words intended to sooth their own troubled consciences.
I ask you, why on earth should someone who sneaked into the country in a back of a lorry be granted asylum in the first place. Surely he should have been sent straight to jail for breaking our law of entry!
We advocate that the law should be changed to ensure that anyone who enters the country via dinghy or lorry is simply not able to claim asylum. What on earth is so hard about that? Well, here's the thing.
THE UN REFUGEE CONVENTION
As we say again, Britain is a member of an out-dated Convention called the UN Refugee Convention. We've been members since 1954 when the world was a completely different place – before commercial jet aircraft, before mobile phones, before the internet.
It is this UN Refugee Convention which enables tens of thousands of people to enter the UK via any method – including methods which appear to us to be illegal – and "claim asylum".
The UN Refugee Convention – which is a different convention from the "European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR)" – requires us to consider seriously an application for asylum, regardless of how the person entered the country.
It is this UN Refugee Convention which legitimises – makes legal – what would be otherwise illegal entry, if your intention is to "claim asylum".
That is, if you enter illegally – say, across the channel in a dinghy or a lorry – but claim "asylum" when you get here, then you are no longer "illegal"; you are now "irregular" and you are entitled to the consideration of the British State which will ensure you live in comfort while your "case" is being processed.
It's a crazy system. Its so-called "justification" is that people "escaping persecution" cannot be expected to enter via the formal channels. Of course, this notion doesn't even apply to Britain anyway, since nobody is "fleeing persecution" in a small boat or lorry from France.
The very simple solution – if we are serious about stopping the boats, and clamping down on illegal entry in other ways – is to:
1. Leave the UN Refugee Convention. We don't need any complex nonsense about "sending them to Rwanda".
2. We then declare the absolute, unchallengeable, sacrosanct sovereignty of our borders, and declare that anyone attempting to enter the UK outside of official routes will immediately be met with the full force of the law.
3. Then we must replace the UN Refugee Convention with a new programme which will declare these routes of entry to be illegal; and which will
4. convict everyone who uses them; and send them to prison for breaking the law – and which will deport them after sentence, with no right to return, ever.
In this case, the law should simply state that if you enter via certain "illegal routes" then you will be automatically disqualified from any "asylum" consideration; and you will go straight to prison for at least 5 years.
That will stop the Small Boat traffic very quickly. We won't have to do this to very many, or for very long, until they all stop coming.
Now what can we do in the interim? We have to get people who will say these things, into positions of political power.
WHAT WE MUST DO AT THE BALLOT BOX
Right now, it is the politicians of the SNP, Green, Labour, Lib Dem and Conservative parties who have the power to advocate for this change to the asylum system. But what do they do – they advocate for even more, even at our physical risk.
Their outmoded submission to the UN Refugee Convention, to a law which is well-past its sell-by date, is literally killing us!
So, we must demand that the politicians of the above-named parties advocate a complete end to the present soft-touch system of "asylum".
We must demand that they advocate:
- to leave the UN Refugee Convention,
- to set up our own much stricter regime, and
- to punish, with prison, anyone entering illegally.
If they do not do this, then anyone voting for these parties at Holyrood, the Senedd, Stormont, Local Elections and Westminster must realise that they are voting for people who are actively putting us all in direct physical danger!
We must put each politician on the spot.
We can no longer behave like turkeys voting for Christmas!
We must give them a choice. We must get them to state their position: Are they going to endanger us, or are they going to keep us safe?
Are they going to continue to promote a permissive asylum system which openly embraces illegal behaviour and endangers us all; or are they for the safety and security of the people of this country?
They must make their choice, and they must state it clearly. And we must vote appropriately. Next May, Thursday 7th May 2026, we will all have the opportunity to vote for politicians who will put the safety and security of Scottish people first.
Folks, if you'd like to know more about how our suggested policies will work, please check out chapter 10 of our latest book "Protect our Country: Policies to Stop Mass Immigration" wherein we detail the 3 illegal routes for which prison must be the automatic punishment, and we comprehensively detail an alternative regime – what we're calling, a UK Temporary Asylum Programme (UK-TAP).
It's available by searching Amazon for "Protect our Country". Please send a copy to your MP, MSP or an Opinion Former. They need to have this information!
So folks, it is easy to change the law, and protect our country and we have always had the obvious solution.
If you cross the Channel in a dinghy, you're going to prison.
Let's vote for the politicians who will say that!
